The Standing Joint Committee on Official Languages met in a televised session at 3:32 p.m., this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Co-Chairs, The Hon. Shirley Maheu and Mauril Bélanger, presiding.
Members of the Committee present:
From the Senate : The honourables Gérald A. Beaudoin, Jean-Robert Gauthier, Viola Léger, Shirley Maheu and Raymond C. Setlakwe.
From the House of Commons : Mauril Bélanger, Gérard Binet, Sarmite Bulte, Christiane Gagnon, Yvon Godin, John Herron, Bernard Patry, Scott Reid, Benoît Sauvageau and Yolande Thibeault.
Acting Member present: Guy St-Julien for John Godfrey.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Françoise Coulombe and Marion Ménard, Analysts.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(4)b), the Committee resumed its review of and report on official languages policies and programs.
