Pursuant to the orders of reference from the House of Commons on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, and from Senate on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, the committee resumed its study of the follow-up on recommendation 13 of the second report of the Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying.

Jocelyn Downie, Jocelyne Voisin and Trudo Lemmens made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Michael Cooper moved, — That the committee order the immediate production of the CAMAP Curriculum Module 7, “MAID and Mental Disorders.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Pamela Wallin moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the word “Disorders” the following: “and that this module be provided for Committee members only”.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
