The Standing Joint Committee on the Library of Parliament met at 12:03 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Joint Chair, Royal Galipeau, presiding.

Members of the Committee present representing the Senate: The Honourable Senators Tommy Banks, Michael L. MacDonald, Don Meredith and Terry Stratton.

Members of the Committee present representing the House of Commons: Gérard Asselin, Hon. Mauril Bélanger, Hon. Carolyn Bennett, Rod Bruinooge, Rob Clarke, Royal Galipeau, Carol Hughes, James Lunney, Hon. Gurbax S. Malhi, Louis Plamondon and Alice Wong.

Associate Members from the House of Commons present: Tim Uppal.

In attendance: Senate: Keli Hogan, Joint Clerk of the Committee . Library of Parliament: Élise Hurtubise-Loranger, Analyst ; Sonya Norris, Analyst.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, Standing Order 108(4)(a) of the House of Commons and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 18, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of Parliament 2020.

Michael Mulley, Cate McCready and Corey Williard made statements and answered questions.

At 1:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
