SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi sur le ministère des Travaux publics et des Services gouvernementaux afin d’exiger que, dans l’attribution de certains marchés, la préférence soit accordée aux projets favorisant l’utilisation du bois.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act to require that, in the awarding of certain contracts, preference be given to projects that promote the use of wood.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1 L’article 7 de la Loi sur le ministère des Travaux publics et des Services gouvernementaux est modifié par adjonction, après le paragraphe (1), de ce qui suit :
1 Section 7 of the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1):
Utilisation du bois
Use of wood
(1.1) Dans l’attribution de marchés visant la construction, l’entretien ou la réparation d’ouvrages publics, de biens réels fédéraux ou d’immeubles fédéraux, le ministre donne la préférence aux projets favorisant l’utilisation du bois, en tenant compte des coûts y afférents et de la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre.
Fin du bloc inséré(1.1) In awarding contracts for the construction, maintenance or repair of public works, federal real property or federal immovables, the Minister shall give preference to projects that promote the use of wood, taking into account the associated costs and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
