SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canadian Wheat Board Act by changing the eligibility criteria for the election of directors of the Canadian Wheat Board.

Clause 1: Existing text of subsection 3.02(1):
3.02 (1) Four directors are appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister. Ten directors are elected by producers in accordance with sections 3.06 to 3.08 and the regulations. The president is appointed by the Governor in Council in accordance with section 3.09.

3.02 (1) Quatre administrateurs sont nommés par le gouverneur en conseil sur la recommandation du ministre et dix administrateurs sont élus par les producteurs en conformité avec les articles 3.06 à 3.08 et à leurs règlements d’application. Le président directeur général est nommé par le gouverneur en conseil en conformité avec l’article 3.09.

3.02 (1) Four directors are appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister. Ten directors are elected, in accordance with sections 3.06 to 3.08 and the regulations, by actual producers who produced at least 120 tonnes of grain in either of the two previous completed crop years. The president is appointed by the Governor in Council in accordance with section 3.09.
3.02 (1) Quatre administrateurs sont nommés par le gouverneur en conseil sur la recommandation du ministre. Dix administrateurs sont élus, en conformité avec les articles 3.06 à 3.08 et les règlements, par les producteurs-exploitants ayant produit au moins cent vingt tonnes de grains durant l’une des deux dernières campagnes agricoles terminées. Le président directeur général est nommé par le gouverneur en conseil en conformité avec l’article 3.09.

2. This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.
