SUMMARY
The purpose of this enactment is to ensure that a person accused of committing a serious personal injury offence is not granted bail as a result of an agreement between the prosecutor and defence counsel without the judge being fully informed of all of the evidence in the possession of the prosecution that is relevant to the release of the accused, including all relevant information respecting the alleged offence and its circumstances.

SOMMAIRE
Le texte a pour objet de faire en sorte que le prévenu inculpé de sévices graves à la personne ne puisse obtenir une mise en liberté sous caution dans le cadre d’une entente entre le poursuivant et l’avocat de la défense que si le juge a été pleinement informé des éléments de preuve pertinents concernant la mise en liberté du prévenu dont dispose la poursuite, notamment ceux se rapportant à l’infraction reprochée et aux circonstances de sa perpétration.
