SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act in order to enhance the accountability of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by establishing the Civilian Review and Oversight Council for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the office of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Ombudsperson. It also makes consequential amendments to other Acts.

Le texte modifie la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada afin de renforcer la responsabilité de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada en établissant le Conseil civil d’examen et de surveillance de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada ainsi que la charge d’ombudsman de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada. Il modifie également d’autres lois en conséquence.
