Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
|
|
|
|

1. Paragraph 118(1)(d) of the Income Tax Act is replaced by the following:
|
|
|
|
1. L’alinéa 118(1)d) de la Loi sur l’impôt sur le revenu est remplacé par ce qui suit :

|
|
|
Dependants
|
|
(d) for each dependant of the individual for the year who
|
|
|
|
(i) attained the age of 18 years before the end of the year and was dependent on the individual because of mental or physical infirmity, or
|
|
|
|
(ii) was the father, mother, grandfather or grandmother of the individual,
|
|
|
|
the amount determined by the formula
|
|
|
|
$8,466 - E
|
|
|
|
where
|
|
|
|
E is the greater of $4,966 and the dependant’s income for the year, and
|
|
|
|
d) pour chaque personne qui était à la charge du particulier pour l’année et qui :
|
|
Crédits pour personnes à charge
|
|
(i) soit a atteint l’âge de 18 ans avant la fin de l’année et était à la charge du particulier en raison d’une infirmité mentale ou physique,
|
|
|
|
(ii) soit était le père, la mère, le grand-père ou la grand-mère du particulier,
|
|
|
|
le montant obtenu par la formule suivante :

|
|
|

|
|
|
|
où :
|
|
|
|
E représente 4 966 $ ou, s’il est plus élevé, le revenu de la personne pour l’année;
