SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Déclaration canadienne des droits en y ajoutant le droit à un logement adéquat à un prix raisonnable et sans obstacles injustifiés.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canadian Bill of Rights to include the right to proper housing at a reasonable cost and free of unreasonable barriers.

Attendu :
que le Parlement reconnaît la dignité et la valeur de tous les individus et le droit de chacun à la sécurité et aux avantages que procure un logement adéquat;
que l’exercice de ce droit passe par l’accès permanent à un logement adéquat, sans obstacles injustifiés, notamment financiers,
Preamble
Whereas Parliament recognizes the dignity and worth of all individuals and acknowledges that they have the right to enjoy the security and benefits provided by proper housing;
And whereas continued access to proper housing, free of unreasonable financial or other barriers, is necessary to ensure that right;
Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1 L’article 1 de la Déclaration canadienne des droits est modifié par adjonction, après l’ali- néa b), de ce qui suit :
1 Section 1 of the Canadian Bill of Rights is amended by adding the following after paragraph (b):
