1. The Ministries and Ministers of State Act is amended by adding the following after section 12:

13. The total number of ministers of State that may be assigned either to preside over a ministry of State under section 7 or to assist a minister under section 11 shall not exceed the number obtained by subtracting the number of ministers referred to in subsection 4.1(3) of the Salaries Act who are paid a salary under that Act from 26.
|

|
|
13. Le nombre total de ministres d’État chargés d’un département d’État en application de l’article 7 ou délégués auprès d’un ministre en vertu de l’article 11 ne peut excéder la différence entre vingt-six et le nombre de ministres visés au paragraphe 4.1(3) de la Loi sur les traitements qui reçoivent un traitement sous le régime de cette loi.

2. Section 4.1 of the Salaries Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (6):
