RECOMMENDATION

Her Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances, in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled “An Act to amend the Canadian Wheat Board Act and chapter 17 of the Statutes of Canada, 1998”.

SUMMARY

This enactment amends the Canadian Wheat Board Act to clarify that the Governor in Council has the authority to amend or repeal any regulation made under section 47 of that Act. The enactment also provides for an arbitration process to resolve disputes respecting commercial transactions or proposed commercial transactions relating to grain. It also repeals section 25 of An Act to amend the Canadian Wheat Board Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

RECOMMANDATION

Son Excellence la gouverneure générale recommande à la Chambre des communes l’affectation de deniers publics dans les circonstances, de la manière et aux fins prévues dans une mesure intitulée « Loi modifiant la Loi sur la Commission canadienne du blé et le chapitre 17 des Lois du Canada (1998) ».

SOMMAIRE

Le texte modifie la Loi sur la Commission canadienne du blé afin de préciser que le gouverneur en conseil a le pouvoir de modifier ou d’abroger tout règlement pris en vertu de l’article 47 de cette loi. Il prévoit aussi un mécanisme de règlement des différends concernant les transactions commerciales ou les projets de transactions commerciales se rapportant à des grains. En outre, il abroge l’article 25 de la Loi modifiant la Loi sur la Commission canadienne du blé et d’autres lois en conséquence.
