Sommaire

This enactment increases the benefit payable to 66% of the average weekly insurable earnings during the highest-paid 12 weeks in the
12-month period preceding the interruption of earnings.

Le texte porte les prestations hebdomadaires à soixante-six pour cent de la rémunération hebdomadaire assurable moyenne des douze semaines pendant lesquelles le prestataire a touché la rémunération la plus élevée au cours de la période de douze mois précédant l’arrêt de rémunération.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1. (1) Subsection 14(1) of the Employment Insurance Act is replaced by the following:

1. (1) Le paragraphe 14(1) de la Loi sur l’assurance-emploi est remplacé par ce qui suit :

Rate of weekly benefits

14. (1) The rate of weekly benefits payable to a claimant is 66% of the average of their weekly insurable earnings for the 12 weeks in which the claimant received the highest earnings during the 12-month period preceding the week in which the interruption in earnings occurred.

14. (1) Le taux de prestations hebdoma- daires qui peut être versé à un prestataire est de soixante-six pour cent de sa rémunération hebdomadaire assurable moyenne des douze semaines pendant lesquelles il a touché la rémunération la plus élevée au cours de la période de douze mois précédant la semaine où est survenu l’arrêt de rémunération.

(2) Subsection 14(2) of the Act is repealed.
