An Act to amend the Importation of Intoxicating Liquors Act (interprovincial importation of wine for personal use)

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

1. Subsection 3(2) of the Importation of Intoxicating Liquors Act is amended by striking out “and” at the end of paragraph (f), by adding “and” at the end of paragraph (g) and by adding the following after paragraph (g):

(h) the importation of wine from a province by an individual, if the individual brings the wine or causes it to be brought into another province, in quantities and as permitted by the laws of the latter province, for his or her personal consumption, and not for resale or other commercial use.

1. Le paragraphe 3(2) de la Loi sur l’importation des boissons enivrantes est modifié par adjonction, après l’alinéa g), de ce qui suit :

h) à l’importation de vin d’une province à une autre province par un particulier, si celui-ci l’apporte ou le fait apporter selon les quantités et les modalités permises par les lois de cette dernière, pour sa consommation personnelle et non pour la revente ou autre usage commercial.
