SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act to expand the definition of eligible farming machinery and extend the exemption for qualifying farming fuel to marketable natural gas and propane.

An Act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act
|
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act
1 (1) The definition eligible farming machinery in section 3 of the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act is amended by adding the following after paragraph (b):
Start of inserted block
(b.1) property used for the purpose of providing heating or cooling to a building or similar structure, including those used for raising or housing livestock;
End of inserted block (2) Paragraph (c) of the definition eligible farming machinery in section 3 of the Act is replaced by the following:
(c) an industrial machine or a stationary or portable engine, Insertion start including a grain dryer Insertion end ; or
(3) The definition eligible farming machinery in section 3 of the Act is amended by adding “or” at the end of paragraph (e) and by repealing paragraph (f).
(4) The definition qualifying farming fuel in section 3 of the Act is replaced by the following:
qualifying farming fuel means a type of fuel that is gasoline, light fuel oil, Insertion start marketable natural gas, propane Insertion end or a prescribed type of fuel. (combustible agricole admissible)
