SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie le Code canadien du travail, la Loi sur les langues officielles et la Loi canadienne sur les sociétés par actions afin que ces lois soient conformes avec la Charte de la langue française au Québec.
Il modifie aussi la Loi sur la citoyenneté afin d’ajouter à l’obtention de la citoyenneté par les résidents permanents qui résident habituellement au Québec l’exigence de la connaissance suffisante de la langue française.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canada Labour Code, the Official Languages Act and the Canada Business Corporations Act to ensure that these Acts are consistent with the Charter of the French Language in Quebec.
It also amends the Citizenship Act to require that permanent residents who ordinarily reside in Quebec must have an adequate knowledge of French in order to obtain citizenship.

(d) if 18 years of age or more but less than Insertion start 65 Insertion end years of age at the date of his or her application, has an adequate knowledge of one of the official languages of Canada, Insertion start unless the person ordinarily resides in Quebec, in which case he or she must have an adequate knowledge of French Insertion end ;
(e) if 18 years of age or more but less than Insertion start 65 Insertion end years of age at the date of his or her application, demonstrates in one of the official languages of Canada that he or she has an adequate knowledge of Canada and of the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship, Insertion start unless the person ordinarily resides in Quebec, in which case he or she must demonstrate that knowledge in French Insertion end ; and
