Pursuant to the orders of reference from the House of Commons on Friday, April 16, 2021 and from the Senate on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 and subsection 5(1) of An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying), the committee resumed the statutory review of the Act.

STATEMENT BY THE CHAIR

The joint chair representing the Senate made a statement.

At 6:34 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit until 7:40 p.m.

Jocelyn Downie and Trudo Lemmens made statements and answered questions.

At 7:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Joint Chairs.
