The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That for today's in-camera meeting, Members of Parliament and Senators who are not members of the Committee be invited to stay as observers.

At 5:42 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:50 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet the week of February 1 to February 5, 2016.

At 6:18 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for an additional 6 minutes.

At 6:22 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:03 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the Committee organize witnesses based on specific categories.

It was agreed, — That the Joint Chairs, working with the analysts and in consultation with the NDP, select witnesses from the categories agreed to by the Committee, making every effort to get a balance of perspectives among the witnesses that have been proposed, and, where possible, to choose those witnesses who had the maximum support across the groups.

It was agreed, — That written submissions be accepted up until February 1, 2016 in order to be considered for inclusion in the draft of the report.

It was agreed, — That written submissions be accepted up until February 12, 2016 for the Committee’s deliberations during consideration of a draft report.

At 7:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
