Preamble
Whereas the Parliament of Canada wishes to assist in efforts to enhance public awareness and understanding of post-traumatic stress disorder and the challenges faced by those who suffer from it;
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Day Act.

2 Throughout Canada, in each and every year, the 27th day of June is to be known as “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Day”.
Wearing the colour teal
3 On the 27th day of June, people are encouraged to wear the colour teal to indicate their support for people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and to promote public awareness of the disorder.
