SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés afin que ne soit plus interdit de territoire pour motifs sanitaires l’étranger dont l’état de santé risque d’entraîner un fardeau excessif pour les services sociaux ou de santé.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act in order to remove the health ground on which a foreign national is inadmissible if their health condition might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand on health or social services.

1 L’article 38 de la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés est remplacé par ce qui suit :
1 Section 38 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act is replaced by the following:
Motifs sanitaires
Health grounds
38 Emporte, sauf pour le résident permanent, interdiction de territoire pour motifs sanitaires l’état de santé de l’étranger qui constitue vraisemblablement un danger pour la santé ou la sécurité publiques.
38 A foreign national is inadmissible on health grounds if their health condition is likely to be a danger to public health or public safety.
