SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi sur la taxe d’accise afin d’exempter les services de psychothérapie de la taxe sur les produits et services.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Excise Tax Act in order to exempt psychotherapeutic services from the goods and services tax.

Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1 (1) Le passage de la définition de praticien à l’article 1 de la partie II de l’annexe V de la Loi sur la taxe d’accise précédant l’alinéa b) est remplacé par ce qui suit :
1 (1) The portion of the definition practitioner in section 1 of Part II of Schedule V to the Excise Tax Act before paragraph (b) is replaced with the following:
praticien Quant à la fourniture de services d’optométrie, de chiropraxie, de physiothérapie, de chiropodie, de podiatrie, d’ostéopathie, d’audiologie, d’orthophonie, d’ergothérapie, de psychologie, Insertion start de psychothérapie, Insertion end de sage-femme, de diététique, d’acupuncture ou de naturopathie, personne qui répond aux conditions suivantes :
-
a) elle exerce l’optométrie, la chiropraxie, la physiothérapie, la chiropodie, la podiatrie, l’ostéopathie, l’audiologie, l’orthophonie, l’ergothérapie, la psychologie, Insertion start la psychothérapie, Insertion end la profession de sage-femme, la diététique, l’acupuncture ou la naturopathie à titre de docteur en naturopathie, selon le cas;
practitioner, in respect of a supply of optometric, chiropractic, physiotherapy, chiropodic, podiatric, osteopathic, audiological, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, psychological, Insertion start psychotherapeutic, Insertion end midwifery, dietetic, acupuncture or naturopathic services, means a person who
-
(a) practises the profession of optometry, chiropractic, physiotherapy, chiropody, podiatry, osteopathy, audiology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, Insertion start psychotherapy, Insertion end midwifery, dietetics, acupuncture or naturopathy as a naturopathic doctor, as the case may be,
(2) L’article 7 de la partie II de l’annexe V de la même loi est modifié par adjonction, après l’alinéa j), de ce qui suit :
(2) Section 7 of Part II of Schedule V to the Act is amended by adding the following after paragraph (j):
