SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi réglementant certaines drogues et autres substances afin d’accroître la durée des peines liées à l’importation et à l’exportation de certaines drogues et autres substances.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to increase sentences for offences related to the importing and exporting of controlled drugs and substances.

Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1 (1) Le passage de l’alinéa 6(3)a) de la Loi réglementant certaines drogues et autres substances précédant le sous-alinéa (i) est remplacé par ce qui suit :
1 (1) The portion of paragraph 6(3)(a) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act before subparagraph (i) is replaced by the following:
-
a) dans le cas de substances inscrites à l’annexe I, et ce, pourvu que la quantité en cause n’excède pas 1 kg, ou à l’annexe II, un acte criminel passible de l’emprisonnement à perpétuité, la durée de l’emprisonnement ne pouvant être inférieure à Insertion start deux ans Insertion end si, selon le cas :
-
(a) if the subject matter of the offence is a substance included in Schedule I in an amount that is not more than one kilogram, or in Schedule II, is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for life, and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of Insertion start two years Insertion end if
(2) L’alinéa 6(3)a.1) de la même loi est remplacé par ce qui suit :
(2) Paragraph 6(3)(a.1) of the Act is replaced by the following:
-
a.1) dans le cas de substances inscrites à l’annexe I, et ce, pourvu que la quantité en cause excède 1 kg, un acte criminel passible de l’emprisonnement à perpétuité, la durée de l’emprisonnement ne pouvant être inférieure à Insertion start trois Insertion end ans;
