SOMMAIRE
Le texte vise à augmenter l’allocation versée au survivant et aux enfants d’un contributeur des Forces canadiennes ou de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada afin de la faire passer de 50 % à 70 % de l’annuité ou de l’allocation du contributeur.
SUMMARY
The purpose of this enactment is to increase the allowance given to the survivors and children of Canadian Forces or Royal Canadian Mounted Police contributors from 50% to 70% of the contributor’s annuity or allowance.

1 Le passage du paragraphe 25(1) de la Loi sur la pension de retraite des Forces canadiennes précédant l’alinéa a) est remplacé par ce qui suit :
1 The portion of subsection 25(1) of the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act before paragraph (a) is replaced by the following:
Prestations payables au décès d’un contributeur ayant droit à une annuité ou allocation
Benefits payable on death of retired member
25 (1) Le survivant et les enfants du contributeur qui, à la date de son décès, avait droit selon la présente partie à une annuité ou à une allocation annuelle ont droit, à compter de cette date, aux allocations Insertion start ci-après Insertion end , calculées sur la base du produit de la solde annuelle moyenne reçue par le contributeur durant la période spécifiée au sous-alinéa 15(1)a)(ii) par le nombre d’années de service ouvrant droit à pension à son crédit, Insertion start un soixante-dixième Insertion end du produit ainsi obtenu étant ci-après appelé « l’allocation de base » :
25 (1) On the death of a contributor who, at the time of Insertion start the contributor’s Insertion end death, was entitled under this Part to an annuity or an annual allowance, the survivor and children of the contributor are entitled to the following allowances, computed on the basis of the product obtained by multiplying the average annual pay received by the contributor during the period specified in subparagraph 15(1)(a)(ii) by the number of years of pensionable service to the contributor’s credit, one Insertion start seventieth Insertion end of the product so obtained being referred to in this section as the “basic allowance”:
