SUMMARY

This enactment amends the Criminal Records Act to provide that foreign nationals and certain permanent residents may not apply for a record suspension. It also amends the Corrections and Conditional Release Act to authorize the disclosure to victims of information relating to the release of foreign offenders under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. In addition, the enactment amends the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act to, among other things, streamline the removal process in respect of certain foreign offenders, provide for the revocation and renunciation of protected person status, and allow certain foreign nationals to waive an admissibility hearing if specific requirements are met. Finally, the enactment amends the International Transfer of Offenders Act to provide for the transfer of certain offenders without their consent.
