SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Financial Administration Act to provide that the Minister of Finance must table a list of every tax measure in respect of which the Government, three or more years before the end of the previous fiscal year, publicly announced its intention to legislate and which has not been legislated.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1. The Financial Administration Act is amended by adding after section 60.2 the following:
TAX MEASURES
Report
60.3 (1) Within one year of the coming into force of this section and, thereafter, no later than the fifth day on which the House of Commons is sitting after October 31, the Minister shall lay before the House a report listing every tax measure in respect of which the Government, three or more years before the end of the previous fiscal year, publicly announced its intention to legislate and which has not been legislated. The Minister shall, in consultation with the appropriate ministers, specify in the report the reasons why each tax measure is still pending.
Committee
(2) A review of the report shall be undertaken by such committee of the House of Commons as may be designated or established by the House for that purpose and the committee shall report its findings to the House no later than six months after the report is tabled in the House or within such further time as may be authorized by the House.

(3) The Minister shall post on the Internet site of his or her department
(a) every report referred to in subsection (1);
(b) any report of a committee of the House referred to in subsection (2); and
(c) every answer to a report referred to in paragraph (b), including a statement indicating whether legislation will be introduced in the House.
