SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act to provide for the appointment of a nominee of Canadian labour organizations as one of the permanent members of the Tribunal.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1. Section 3 of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1):
Nominee of Canadian labour organizations
(1.1) In appointing permanent members other than the President and the two Vice-Chairpersons, the Governor in Council shall consult with the representatives of Canadian labour organizations, including the Canadian Labour Congress, to ensure that at least one of those permanent members is a nominee of Canadian labour organizations.
