Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1. Section 3 of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1):

Nominee of Canadian labour organizations
|
|
(1.1) In appointing permanent members other than the President and the two Vice-Chairpersons, the Governor in Council shall consult with the representatives of Canadian labour organizations, including the Canadian Labour Congress, to ensure that at least one of those permanent members is a nominee of Canadian labour organizations.
|
|
|
|
(1.1) Pour la nomination des titulaires autres que le président et les deux vice-présidents, le gouverneur en conseil consulte les représentants d’organisations syndicales canadiennes, y compris le Congrès du travail du Canada, afin qu’au moins un poste de titulaire soit occupé par un candidat proposé par ces organisations.
