Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

|

1. This Act may be cited as the Holidays Harmonization Act.

Provincial holidays
|
|
2. Every employee under federal jurisdiction is, at a minimum, entitled to and shall be granted a holiday with pay on any day appointed by proclamation of the lieutenant-governor to be observed as a general holiday in the province in which the employee’s place of employment is located.

|
2. Les employés relevant de la compétence fédérale ont droit, au minimum, à un congé payé pour chaque jour désigné par proclamation du lieutenant-gouverneur comme un jour férié dans la province où leur lieu de travail est situé.
