SUMMARY
This enactment repeals the provisions of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act that relate to security certificates and special advocates.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1. Subsection 4(1.1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act is repealed.
2. Subsection 5(2) of the Act is replaced by the following:
Tabling and referral of proposed regulations
(2) The Minister shall cause a copy of each proposed regulation made under sections 17, 32, 53, 61, 102, 116, 150 and 150.1 to be laid before each House of Parliament, and each House shall refer the proposed regulation to the appropriate Committee of that House.
3. Subsection 6(3) of the Act is replaced by the following:
Exception
(3) Notwithstanding subsection (2), the Minister may not delegate the ability to make determinations under subsection 34(2) or 35(2) or paragraph 37(2)(a).
4. The heading before section 76 and sections 76 to 87.2 of the Act are repealed.
5. (1) Subsection 112(1) of the Act is replaced by the following:
Application for protection
112. (1) A person in Canada, other than a person referred to in subsection 115(1), may, in accordance with the regulations, apply to the Minister for protection if they are subject to a removal order that is in force.
(2) Paragraph 112(3)(d) of the Act is repealed.
6. Paragraph 166(f) of the Act is repealed.
