An Act respecting the Labelling of Fish
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
SHORT TITLE
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Fish Labelling Act.
INTERPRETATION
Definitions
2. The following definitions apply in this Act.
“fish”
« poisson »

“fish” means any fish, including shellfish and crustaceans, and marine animals, and any parts, products or by-products thereof.
“Minister”
« ministre »
« ministre »
“Minister” means the Minister of Health.
REGULATIONS
Regulations
3. Despite anything in the Food and Drugs Act or the regulations made under that Act, the Minister shall, within nine months after the day on which this Act comes into force, make regulations providing that no person shall import or package any fish unless a label is affixed to the package clearly showing whether the fish is wild or farm-raised.
