The Standing Joint Committee on the Library of Parliament met at 12:03 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Joint Chair, Peter Goldring, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present representing the Senate: The Honourable Senators Hon. Stephen Greene, Hon. Mobina S.B. Jaffer and Hon. Terrance Richard Stratton.

 

Members of the Committee present representing the House of Commons: Gérard Asselin, Hon. Mauril Bélanger, Hon. Carolyn Bennett, Ray Boughen, Peter Braid, Peter Goldring, Ed Holder, Hon. Gurbax S. Malhi, Louis Plamondon and Greg Rickford.

 

Acting Members from the House of Commons present: David Christopherson for Carol Hughes.

 

Other Senators present: Hon. Tommy Banks.

 

In attendance: Standing Joint Committee on the Library of Parliament: Denis Robert, Joint Clerk of the Committee. Library of Parliament: Élise Hurtubise-Loranger, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2009-2010: Vote 10 under PARLIAMENT referred to the Committee on Thursday, February 26, 2009.
 

The Chair called Vote 10 under PARLIAMENT.

 

William R. Young made a statement and answered questions.

 

Vote 10 under PARLIAMENT carried, on division.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 10, less the amount voted in Interim Supply, under PARLIAMENT to the House.
