SUMMARY
This enactment prohibits the advertising, sale or import into Canada of recreational snow sport helmets that do not meet the requirements of the applicable Canadian Standards Association standard.

An Act to amend the Hazardous Products Act (recreational snow sport helmets)
R.S., c. H-3
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1. Part I of Schedule I to the Hazardous Products Act is amended by adding the following in numerical order:
42. Helmets that are designed for use in non-motorized recreational snow sports and that do not meet the requirements of the Canadian Standards Association standard identified by a standard number containing “CSA-Z263.1”, as amended from time to time.
2. This Act comes into force on a day that is ten days after the day on which the Canadian Standards Association standard referred to in section 1 is published.
