1. The portion of subsection 25(1) of the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act before paragraph (a) is replaced by the following:

Benefits payable on death

25. (1) On the death of a contributor who, at the time of the contributor's death, was entitled under this Act to an annuity, the survivor and children of the contributor are entitled to the following allowances, computed on the basis of the product obtained by multiplying the average annual pay received by the contributor during the period specified in subparagraph 15(1)(a)(ii), by the number of years of pensionable service to the contributor's credit, one eighty-third of the product so obtained being hereinafter referred to as the “basic allowance”:

25. (1) Au décès d'un contributeur qui, à la date de sa mort, avait droit selon la présente loi à une annuité, le survivant et les enfants du contributeur sont admissibles aux allocations suivantes, calculées sur la base du produit obtenu au moyen de la multiplication de la solde annuelle moyenne, reçue par le contributeur durant la période spécifiée au sous-alinéa 15(1)a)(ii), par le nombre d'années de service ouvrant droit à pension à son crédit, un quatre-vingt-troisième du produit ainsi obtenu étant ci-après appelé « l'allocation de base » :

On the later of the day on which section 15 of An Act to amend the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, chapter 26 of the Statutes of Canada, 2003, comes into force and the day on which section 1 of this Act comes into force — or, if those days are the same day, then on that day — the portion of subsection 25(1) of the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act before paragraph (a) is replaced by the following:
