SUMMARY
The purpose of this enactment is to prohibit the advertising, sale and import of elongated display hooks that can pose a threat to the safety and health of persons.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

1. Part I of Schedule I to the Hazardous Products Act is amended by adding the following in numerical order:
1. La partie I de l’annexe I de la Loi sur les produits dangereux est modifiée par adjonction, selon l’ordre numérique, de ce qui suit :
42. Hooks with an elongated tip, the end of which is less than 1 square centimetre, intended to be used to display merchandise.
42. Crochets à bout allongé dont l’extrémité mesure moins d’un centimètre carré, destinés à servir pour l’exposition de marchandises.
