SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Public Service Employment Act to
(a) ensure that appointments to or from within the public service are free from bureaucratic patronage; and
(b) disallow the establishment of geographic criteria to determine an area of selection for the purposes of eligibility in appointment processes.

SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique afin :
a) de faire en sorte que les nominations internes et externes à la fonction publique soient à l’abri du favoritisme bureaucratique;
b) d’interdire l’adoption de critères géographiques pour définir la zone de sélection servant à déterminer l’admissibilité au processus de nomination.
