Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
|

1. Subsection 110(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is amended by striking out the word “and” at the end of paragraph (b), by adding the word “and” at the end of paragraph (c) and by adding the following after paragraph (c):
|

1. Le paragraphe 110(2) de la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents est modifié par adjonction, après l’alinéa c), de ce qui suit :

|
|
|
(d) in a case where the information relates to a young person who is eighteen years old or older and has been charged under the Criminal Code with an indictable offence or an offence punishable on summary conviction.
|
|
|
|
d) concernent un adolescent de dix-huit ans ou plus qui est inculpé en vertu du Code criminel d’un acte criminel ou d’une infraction punissable sur déclaration de culpabilité par procédure sommaire.
