SUMMARY
This enactment amends An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Income Tax Act by replacing its sunset provision with a requirement for a mandatory review, within two years, by a committee of the House of Commons.

Le texte modifie la Loi modifiant la Loi électorale du Canada et la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu afin de remplacer la disposition de temporarisation par une disposition prévoyant un examen obligatoire, dans un délai de deux ans, par un comité de la Chambre des communes.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1. Sections 26 and 27 of An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Income Tax Act, being chapter 24 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, are replaced by the following:

26. Within two years after the coming into force of this section, the committee of the House of Commons that normally considers electoral matters shall undertake a comprehensive review of the amendments made by this Act and submit a report to Parliament containing its recommendations concerning those amendments.
26. Dans les deux ans qui suivent l’entrée en vigueur du présent article, le comité de la Chambre des communes habituellement chargé des questions électorales examine à fond les modifications apportées par la présente loi et présente un rapport au Parlement où seront consignées ses recommandations sur ces modifications.
