SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Investment Canada Act to provide for the review of foreign investments in Canada that could threaten national security. This enactment also provides that the Governor in Council may, by order, take any measures that the Governor in Council considers advisable to protect national security, such as prohibiting a non-Canadian from implementing an investment.

SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi sur Investissement Canada afin de permettre l’examen des investissements étrangers effectués au Canada qui pourraient porter atteinte à la sécurité nationale. Il prévoit également que le gouverneur en conseil peut, par décret, prendre les mesures qu’il estime indiquées pour préserver la sécurité nationale, notamment interdire à tout non-Canadien d’effectuer un investissement.
