RECOMMENDATION |
|
|
Her Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of
Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances,
in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled ``An Act
to give effect to the Westbank First Nation Self-Government
Agreement''.
|
|
|
SUMMARY |
|
|
This enactment gives effect to the Westbank First Nation
Self-Government Agreement. It includes related amendments to
several other Acts.

Clause 16: Subsection 13(3) reads as follows:
|
|
|
(3) The expression ``aboriginal government'' in paragraph (1)(e)
means Nisga'a Government, as defined in the Nisga'a Final Agreement
given effect by the Nisga'a Final Agreement Act.

Clause 17: New. The relevant portion of subsection
4(1) reads as follows:

4. (1) This Act does not apply to any of the following persons when
