This enactment removes a legal ambiguity in relation to access to
census records taken between 1910 and 2003. It allows genealogical
and historical researchers access to these records under certain
conditions for a 20-year period, beginning 92 years after the census
took place. One hundred and twelve years after the census, anyone may
examine the records without restriction.
