(3) The following documents are deemed not to be a Canadian aviation document for the purposes of sections 6.6 to 7.21:

111. (1) Subsections (2) and (3) apply if Bill C-47, introduced in the 1st Session of the 37th Parliament and entitled the Excise Act, 2001 (referred to in this section as the ``other Act'') receives royal assent.

(2) If the other Act receives royal assent before the day this Act receives royal assent, then, on the day this Act receives royal assent, paragraph (g) of the definition ``offence'' in section 183 of the Criminal Code, as enacted by section 106 of this Act, is replaced by the following:

      (g) any of the following provisions of the Excise Act, 2001, namely,

        (i) section 214 (unlawful production, sale, etc., of tobacco or alcohol),

        (ii) section 216 (unlawful possession of tobacco product),

        (iii) section 218 (unlawful possession, sale, etc., of alcohol),

        (iv) section 219 (falsifying or destroying records),

        (v) section 230 (possession of property obtained by excise offences), or

        (vi) section 231 (laundering proceeds of excise offences),

(3) If this Act receives royal assent before the other Act receives royal assent, then, on the day the other Act receives royal assent, paragraph 409(2)(b) of the other Act is replaced by the following:

    (b) paragraph (g) of the definition ``offence'' in section 183 of the Criminal Code, as enacted by section 106 of the Public Safety Act, 2002, is replaced by the following:

      (g) any of the following provisions of the Excise Act, 2001, namely,

        (i) section 214 (unlawful production, sale, etc., of tobacco or alcohol),

        (ii) section 216 (unlawful possession of tobacco product),

        (iii) section 218 (unlawful possession, sale, etc., of alcohol),

        (iv) section 219 (falsifying or destroying records),

        (v) section 230 (possession of property obtained by excise offences), or

        (vi) section 231 (laundering proceeds of excise offences),

112. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the provisions of this Act, other than sections 1 and 107 to 111, and the provisions of any Act that are enacted by this Act come into force on a day or days to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.

(2) The paragraphs or subparagraphs or any other portion of the definition ``offence'' in section 183 of the Criminal Code, as enacted by section 106 of this Act, comes into force on a day or days to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.
