1. The title of the Marriage (Prohibited
Degrees) Act is replaced by the following:

|
|
|
|
2. Section 1 of the Act is replaced by the
following:
|
|
| Short title
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Marriage
Capacity Act.
|
|
|
|
3. The Act is amended by adding the
following after section 4:
|
|
| Same sex
parties
|
4.1 A marriage between two persons is not
invalid by reason only that they are of the same
sex.
