An Act to amend the National Defence Act
(Snowbirds)

1. The National Defence Act is amended
by adding the following after section 17:
|
|
|
|
Protection of Canada's Military Heritage
|
|
| Snowbirds
|
17.1 (1) The Minister shall ensure that the
Snowbirds Squadron is maintained and that
the squadron has sufficient resources to carry
out its mission.
|
|
| Definition of
``Snowbirds
Squadron''
|
(2) For the purposes of this section,
``Snowbirds Squadron'' means a squadron
commonly referred to as the ``Snowbirds'',
belonging to the Royal Canadian Air Force,
whose mission is to demonstrate the skill,
professionalism and teamwork of the
Canadian Forces to the general public.
