SUMMARY |

The purpose of this enactment is to legally define marriage. Marriage
is defined as being a union between one man and one woman as
husband and wife. Also, this enactment will protect the legal definition
of marriage from challenge in the courts under the Canadian Charter
of Rights and Freedoms.
