An Act to prohibit the export of water from
Canada by pipeline, railway tank car,
tank truck, tanker or interbasin transfers

SHORT TITLE |
|
| Short title
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Canada
Water Export Prohibition Act.
|
|
|
|
DEFINITION |
|
| Definition
|
2. For the purpose of this Act, ``water''
means surface and ground water, but does not
include water packaged as a beverage.
|
|
|
|
HER MAJESTY |
|
| Binding on
Her Majesty
|
3. This Act is binding on Her Majesty in
right of Canada or a province.
|
|
|
|
OFFENCE AND PUNISHMENT |
|
| Offence
|
4. Despite any other Act of Parliament, no
person shall export water from Canada by
pipeline, railway tank car, tank truck, tanker
or interbasin transfers.
|
|
| Punishment
|
5. Every one who contravenes section 4 is
guilty of an offence and liable
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
