An Act respecting a National Day Against Impaired Driving

Preamble

WHEREAS impaired driving causes numerous fatalities every year;

AND WHEREAS it is important to continue to make Canadians aware of the dangers and consequences of impaired driving;

NOW THEREFORE, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

SHORT TITLE

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the National Day Against Impaired Driving Act.

NATIONAL DAY AGAINST IMPAIRED DRIVING

National Day Against Impaired Driving

2. Throughout Canada, in each and every year, the 14th of August shall be known under the name of ``National Day Against Impaired Driving''.
