An Act respecting a National Day Against
Impaired Driving
|

| Preamble
|
WHEREAS impaired driving causes
numerous fatalities every year;
|
|
|
|
AND WHEREAS it is important to
continue to make Canadians aware of the
dangers and consequences of impaired
driving;
|
|
|
|
NOW THEREFORE, Her Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and
House of Commons of Canada, enacts as
follows:
|

|

SHORT TITLE |
|
| Short title
|
1. This Act may be cited as the National
Day Against Impaired Driving Act.
|
|
|
|

2. Throughout Canada, in each and every
year, the 14th of August shall be known under
the name of ``National Day Against Impaired
Driving''.
