SUMMARY |

The purpose of this enactment is to force companies covered by the
Motor Vehicle Safety Act to notify the public if they become aware of
design, construction or functioning defects in the vehicles they
manufacture, sell or import.
|
|
|
|
It also allows the Minister to order a recall of vehicles with such
defects where the vehicles have caused injury or death. In such a case,
sale of those vehicles would be prohibited.
