1. Section 745 of the Criminal Code is
replaced by the following:
|
|
Life imprison- ment
|
745. (1) The sentence to be pronounced
against a person who is to be sentenced to
imprisonment for life shall be that the person
be sentenced to imprisonment for the
remainder of his natural life without eligibility
for parole.
|

Application of
sections
relating to
parole
|
(2) Sections 745.1, 745.2, 745.3, 745.4,
745.5 and 746.1 do not apply to a person
sentenced to imprisonment for life after the
coming into force of subsection (1).
|

|
2. Section 745.6 of the Act is repealed.
