An Act to amend the Consumer Packaging and
Labelling Act (recombinant hormones)

1. The Consumer Packaging and
Labelling Act is amended by adding the
following after section 4:
|
|
Labelling for
prepackaged
products
|
4.1 No prepackaged food product shall be
sold that contains an ingredient derived from
an animal to which a prescribed recombinant
hormone has been administered unless that
product has applied to it a label containing a
declaration in the prescribed form
|
|

|
|
|
|
2. Subsection 18(1) of the Act is amended
by adding the following after paragraph
(e):
