RECOMMENDATION |

His Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of
Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances,
in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled ``An Act
to establish the Department of Public Works and Government Services
and to amend and repeal certain Acts''.

SUMMARY |
|
|
|
This enactment establishes the Department of Public Works and
Government Services with a presiding minister to be appointed by
Commission under the Great Seal of Canada, with the powers, duties
and functions as therein set out, and a Deputy Minister to be appointed
by the Governor in Council, with provision for employees.
