Rights of Her
Majesty

4.6 (1) For greater certainty, any rights of
Canada in the continental shelf of Canada are
vested in Her Majesty in right of Canada.
|

Saving
|
(2) Nothing in this section abrogates or
derogates from any legal right or interest held
before February 4, 1991.
|

Evidence
|
4.7 (1) In any legal or other proceedings, a
certificate issued by or under the authority of
the Minister of Foreign Affairs containing a
statement that any geographic location speci
fied in the certificate was, at any time material
to the proceedings,
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
is conclusive proof of the truth of the state
ment without proof of the signature or official
character of the person appearing to have is
sued the certificate.
|
|
Certificate
cannot be
compelled
|
(2) A certificate referred to in subsection (1)
is admissible in evidence in proceedings
referred to in that subsection, but its produc
tion cannot be compelled.

Affairs, make regulations prescribing geo
graphical coordinates of points from which

second session of the thirty-fifth Parliament
and entitled An Act respecting the water
resources of Nunavut is assented to, then, on
the later of the day on which that Act comes
into force or the day on which section 57 of
this Act comes into force, section 71 of that
Act is replaced by the following:

Regulations
under the
Fisheries Act
|
71. Where the Board issues a licence in
respect of any waters to which regulations
referred to in paragraph 50(2)(b) of the
Fisheries Act apply, any conditions in the
licence relating to the deposit of waste in those
waters must be at least as stringent as the
conditions prescribed by those regulations.

214. This Act or any of its provisions
comes into force on a day or days to be fixed
by order of the Governor in Council.
